FAQ

Q: WHAT DO WE DO?

A: An interior designer focuses on both the form and function of a space. We work closely with clients to create a cohesive aesthetic that reflects their personal style while supporting the way they live. Depending on the scope of the project, we also collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals throughout the design process. As the interior designer, we select and coordinate the finishes and materials for the home—including tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and other details—as well as furnishings and décor.

Q: WHAT IS FULL SERVICE INTERIOR DESIGN?

A: Full-service interior design is a comprehensive, start-to-finish approach that takes a project from the initial concept through final installation. We manage every detail along the way, including sourcing furnishings and materials, coordinating with trades, placing and tracking orders, and overseeing deliveries. Once everything is ready, we complete the installation and styling so the space is fully finished and ready to enjoy.

Q: do we take on smaller projects?

A: We work on interior design projects of varying sizes, with a focus on renovations and new builds where we can take a cohesive approach to the space—from finishes and fixtures to furnishings and final details. We also reserve room in our schedule for select smaller-scale projects that offer the opportunity for creative freedom and a meaningful transformation. Rather than working on a piecemeal basis or simply adding one or two pieces to an existing room, our projects are approached holistically so the end result feels intentional, complete, and well considered.

Q: what is an expected project timeline?

A: Every project is different, and timelines can vary depending on scope, construction schedules, and product lead times. Furnishing and renovation projects typically take 9–12 months or more, while new construction projects generally take a year or longer. We encourage prospective clients to reach out 6–12 months before they anticipate starting their project. Thoughtful design takes time, and beginning the process early allows us to have the details fully developed and decisions in place before construction begins.

Q: do we work alongside architects + contractors

A:We regularly work alongside architects and contractors to create a cohesive, well-executed project. As interior designers, we focus on the overall aesthetic and functionality of the interiors, including the selection of finishes, fixtures, furnishings, and other design details. Architects bring expertise in the structure and technical aspects of the building, while contractors manage the construction and bring the plans to life. Collaboration between all three ensures that the design is both beautiful and thoughtfully executed.

Q: where in the process do we come in? is it before or after an architect or contractor is selected?

A:We are typically brought into the process in the very early stages of the project. For renovations or new construction, we often work alongside the architect from the beginning so that the layout, architectural details, finishes, and furnishings are considered together. A contractor is typically brought in once the design and scope are more developed, allowing them to price and execute a well-defined plan. Involving the full team early helps create a more cohesive project and can prevent costly changes later on.
